From data-entry to emission calculation and conversion through to onward reporting, the Emex Energy & Carbon Management module delivers an effective, flexible and scalable solution for your business.

The solution provides simple, intuitive web forms and capture templates to enable you to define a comprehensive set of source information and capture frequency. As data is frequently required from disparate geographies, the solution allows the dispersal of data-entry responsibilities across the relevant departments, business units and geographies. Scheduling and reminders are automated to ensure full engagement by those with responsibility for the data capture process.

With unlimited scalability, the solution enables companies to initially capture limited elements of their carbon footprint (such as Scope Levels 1 and 2) and to expand to Level 3 at a future date – if required.

Critically, the Emex Carbon Conversion Engine enables you to automatically calculate Carbon Dioxide Equivalent (CO2e) values across a wide spectrum of industry protocols such as the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) etc. This facilitates complex emission equations and multi-variable analysis under a variety of emission models and country conversion factors ensuring a robust, industrial- strength verification and audit trail of your emissions data. Effective emission factor libraries help you to maintain a historical picture of the source data and the various expressions used in the calculation and analysis and version/change controls enable you to identify when, in what way and by whom changes were made to the calculation expressions or data source models.
